Two women threatened in an armed robbery at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Burnside were told they would receive all the support they need to overcome the traumatic experience.

The workers, aged 30 and 57, were in the Stonelaw Road branch when a man forced them to hand over a four-figure sum of money at around 3.40pm on Tuesday, August 2. Gary Timoney, 41, later admitted the crime in court.
