Rutherglen Reformer - - Drivetime extra -

A hectic bowling schedule continued over the last week with very mixed results for Burnside.

The Cambuslang and District Senior Fours recorded a very familiar result when one team won and the other tasted defeat.

In the Rutherglen and District Triples, yet again the club had one team bringing home victory and the other coming second.

The games against Rutherglen in the Glasgow Bowling League did not go to plan when both teams lost. The club is hoping for greatly improved results in all competitions in the weeks to come.

Last Saturday brought Burnside’s annual 1 + 2 / 2 +1 competition. It was won by Kenny Walton, Scott Russell (Cambuslang) and skipped by Alec Hay.

The celebrations continued way into the night and all went home having had a great day.

The Monday night aggregate game was played in very favourable weather and was eventually won by the team of John Sinclair, Jim Derwent, Kenny Walton and skipped by an old favourite Boots McDonald. This victory adds to a very successful week for Kenny Walton.
