People who would like to learn how to find moments of calmness in the hustle and bustle of everyday life are being invited to special workshops.

Hosted by Healthy n’Happy Community Development Trust today and tomorrow, the workshops show people how to relax by simply looking around.

The interactive sessions explore what is calming in sights and sounds around us and records this using smartphones.

No experience is needed, people are asked just to bring their phones.

The workshop is being held as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival and workshop participants will be invited to take part in the film-making sessions which will be featured in the festival events in October.

The first session takes place today, Wednesday, between 11am and 1pm in Number 18, Farmeloan Road. The second session will be held tomorrow from 5pm to 7pm at BikeTown, 5 Thomson Court.

To register for a workshop call the Transforming Lives team on 0141 641 5236, or drop into the BikeTown Community Cycling Centre to book one of those sessions.
