Survey tolink forest groups

-

Groups or individuals in Rutherglen and Cambuslang who are managing their own woodland have been asked to get involved with The Central Scotland Green Network Trust’s (CSGNT) community woodlands survey.

The organisation is working to create better connections in the community woodlands network to allow local groups to support and learn from each other.

Amy Davidson, community development officer at CSGNT, said: “It is important to protect our community woodlands.

“They make an important contribution through providing a local greenspace which supports improved physical and mental health and wellbeing, benefits biodiversity and creates educational and training opportunities.

“We know there are many committed groups who are managing and creating their own woodlands to improve their local environment and we want to support their valuable work.”
