Festive funat Burnside Primary
Burnside Primary will host its first Christmas Fayre in the new school building on Saturday, November 25.
The Christmas fayre mascot, Burnsie the friendly snowman, will be opening the fayre and welcoming visitors as the school transforms into a winter wonderland.
There will be kids fun and games such as hook a Christmas duck, snowball throw, beat the goalie, face painting and a bouncy castle.
The young ones can visit Santa in his grotto.
Parents and local businesses have donated raffle prizes and top prizes are £300 cash from Ace Place, a year’s family membership to Rutherglen Lawn Tennis Club and tickets to Disney on Ice.
Gifts can be bought from stallholders such as Sweet Sensations, Partylite, Usborne Books, Lego, Minecraft and Pokemon. The school’s gardening club will be selling planters and there will be pre-loved toys, books and DVDs.
The cafeteria will be selling festive favourites and young ones can decorate and devour a home baked cupcake. Tea and coffee are included in the £2 entry charge and children go free. It will run from 11am to 2pm.
