Burn­side Pri­mary will host its first Christ­mas Fayre in the new school build­ing on Satur­day, Novem­ber 25.

The Christ­mas fayre mas­cot, Burn­sie the friendly snow­man, will be open­ing the fayre and wel­com­ing vis­i­tors as the school trans­forms into a win­ter won­der­land.

There will be kids fun and games such as hook a Christ­mas duck, snow­ball throw, beat the goalie, face paint­ing and a bouncy cas­tle.

The young ones can visit Santa in his grotto.

Par­ents and lo­cal busi­nesses have do­nated raf­fle prizes and top prizes are £300 cash from Ace Place, a year’s fam­ily mem­ber­ship to Ruther­glen Lawn Ten­nis Club and tick­ets to Dis­ney on Ice.

Gifts can be bought from stall­hold­ers such as Sweet Sen­sa­tions, Partylite, Us­borne Books, Lego, Minecraft and Poke­mon. The school’s gar­den­ing club will be sell­ing planters and there will be pre-loved toys, books and DVDs.

The cafe­te­ria will be sell­ing fes­tive favourites and young ones can dec­o­rate and de­vour a home baked cup­cake. Tea and cof­fee are in­cluded in the £2 en­try charge and chil­dren go free. It will run from 11am to 2pm.
