Count­down to comic con at town hall

The return to Ruther­glen of var­i­ous comic book char­ac­ters is draw­ing nearer.

The South La­nark­shire Comic Con will be held at the town hall on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 24, from 10am on­wards.

There will be over 60 traders sell­ing comics, graphic nov­els, crafts, art, Funko Pop fig­ures and much more.

Through­out the day there will be work­shops, cos­play com­pe­ti­tions, quizzes, films, guest comic artists and writ­ers to name but a few.

Guests con­firmed so far in­clude Burn­side comic book artist Gary Ersk­ine, who has il­lus­trated the likes of Judge Dredd and X-Men, Hulk writer Monty Nero and 2000 AD and Ti­tan Comics artist and writer Grant Perkins, who cur­rently writes Strax and the Time Shark for the Doc­tor Who Ad­ven­tures comic.

There will also be plenty of op­por­tu­ni­ties to have pic­tures taken with some ex­cit­ing char­ac­ters that will be in at­ten­dance too.

Tick­ets are £2 en­try and un­der -10s go free.
