Appwill givesex health advice
NHS Lanarkshire has developed a new mobile phone app to help young people get better and more accurate and timely information on sexual health services.
The ‘YP Services’ app offers a range of services for those aged 20 and under.
Services include contraception, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, blood borne virus (BBV) testing, free condoms, general information and advice.
Janet Robison from the BBV and sexual health promotion team, said: “The mobile phone app complements this service by providing young people with a resource at their fingertips electronically.
“Young people can use the app to find out where to locate their nearest YP clinic and also gain access a wide variety of information and signpost them to services appropriate to their needs.”
Download from the App Store through Apple or Google Play for free. For more information contact the BBV and sexual health promotion team on 01698 377652 or visit www.lansh.scot.nhs.uk/ young-peoples-services/
