Bowlers pay trib­ute to Burns

Mem­bers of Burn­side Bowl­ing Club cel­e­brated the life and works of Rab­bie Burns at their an­nual Burns Sup­per.

The evening was or­gan­ised and chaired by Alan McLen­nan with mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment and ac­com­pa­ni­ment from Jonathan Buchan.

Gra­ham Hill nar­rated Tam O’Shanter in his own great style and a very hu­mor­ous and en­ter­tain­ing Im­mor­tal Mem­ory was pro­posed by Com­modore Eric Thomp­son MBE.

Iain Gor­don pro­posed the Toast to the Lasses and had the au­di­ence in stitches.

The re­ply was given by Yvonne War­ing in her very unique the­atri­cal style, which had the ladies present cheer­ing and ap­plaud­ing.

Eric Thomp­son con­cluded the en­ter­tain­ment with his own poem, Ally Shanter, which was out­stand­ing.
