A three-hour boxercise class in Cambuslang raised hundreds of pounds for a cancer charity.

Transform Fitness hosted the Box 2 Beat Cancer event which resulted in a knockout result of £500 being raised for Ovarian Cancer Action.

The class was led by Tracy Chambers at Studio 56 on Hamilton Road.

Tracy said:“A woman dies every two hours from ovarian cancer in the UK, and sadly many of these deaths could be prevented if the condition were identified earlier.

“More than a third of women are diagnosed in A&E – when the condition is already in an advanced stage.”

She added:“We raised more than £500 with donations still coming in.”
