Man denies at­tack and es­cap­ing cops

A To­ry­glen man has de­nied be­ing in­volved in the as­sault of another male be­fore es­cap­ing po­lice of­fi­cers.

De­clan Sin­clair, 23, and his co-ac­cused Demi Sin­clair 25, were charged with re­peat­edly punch­ing the man on the head, knock­ing him to the ground, and con­tin­u­ing to punch him on the head dur­ing an in­ci­dent on Sauchiehall Street, Glas­gow, last sum­mer.

Mr Sin­clair, of Prospecthill Cres­cent, was fur­ther al­leged to have re­moved the hand­cuffs, ex­ited a po­lice ve­hi­cle and made off from of­fi­cers to de­feat the ends of jus­tice on July 17.

Ms Sin­clair, a res­i­dent of Tor­musk Drive, Castlemilk, and Mr Sin­clair both pled not guilty to all charges and will stand trial on April 20.
