Get sporty with Aldi
Sports clubs across Rutherglen and Cambuslang could bag a share of £50,000 in funding from supermarket chain Aldi. Applications are now open for the Aldi Scottish Sport Fund, with clubs located across the region invited to apply for a share of £50,000. Now in its third year, Aldi’s Scottish Sport Fund aims to help people of all ages take part in physical activity within their local communities by giving clubs the chance to secure up to £500 funding.
Richard Holloway, Aldi regional managing director for Scotland, said: “It is our way of giving local clubs a helping hand to continue the fantastic work they do in their communities.” Clubs have until Monday, November 5 to apply for up to £500 funding. Applications can be made via www.aldi.co.uk/scottishsportfund. Applications will be considered by the Aldi judging panel and entrants will be notified within four to six weeks.
