A WOMAN and a teenage boy were forced to escape their home after a camper van was torched in a suspected arson attack.
Firefighters were called to a house on Milton Road shortly after 1am on Tuesday morning.
The camper van, which was parked on the drive, was destroyed and flames spread to a nearby Nissan and the house itself, causing further damage.
Both the woman and the boy were unhurt.
Kieran Gillam, watch manager at Stretford fire station, said: “The fire cracked the windows and melted all the guttering but the residents were fine.”
A police spokesman confirmed they were investigating the incident.
Witnesses can call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
