Pupils are Christmas hit with new album

Salford Advertiser - - FRONT PAGE -

SCHOOLCHILDREN turned recording artists for the day when they made their own Christmas album.

Pupils from each year at Grosvenor Road Primary in Swinton performed a song for a CD to sell to parents, with the help of recording company School Stars.

The pupils also took part in a competition to design the CD’s front cover.

Janette Ormandy, the school’s music coordinator, said: “The idea of the CD is to raise the profile of music in the school, particularly the performing aspect.”

Money raised will go towards the school.
