Injunction served on tenant

Salford Advertiser - - CITIZENS ADVICE -

A SOCIAL housing tenant who threatened his neighbours and housing staff has been hit with an injunction.

Salix Homes sought legal action against Ian Wright, of Muirhead Court in Auckland Drive, Charlestown, on the grounds of his threatening and abusive behaviour.

During a court hearing at Manchester Civil Justice Centre, the court heard how Wright, 62, made threats of violence to his neighbours and the warden, and assaulted one of his neighbours.

In Wright’s absence, the judge granted a 12 month injunction order.

The conditions of the injunction prevent Wright from harassing or using abusive, insulting and threatening behaviour towards his neighbours and housing staff.

Sue Sutton, of Salix Homes, said: “We hope this case sends out a very clear message that this kind of anti-social and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated in our communities.”
