ALL aboard for the Manchester Midnight Walk in aid of St Ann’s Hospice thanks to the help of a local bus company.
Manchester Community Transport (MCT) has put posters advertising the popular 10k walk on Friday, June 19, in its fleet of buses on routes across Greater Manchester.
Terry Crewe, MCT’s social enterprise manager, has personal and professional reasons for wanting to support the charity.
Sister Lynda Goodwin, from Bredbury, is counselling services co-ordinator at the hospice and their late father Roger was a patient there in 1996.
Terry, from Timperley, said: “I know from experience what a valuable service St Ann’s Hospice provides for the community.
“MCT is a not-forprofit organisation also serving the community so we’re delighted we can support such a deserving wellestablished charity.”
More than 2,000 walkers are expected to pack a route which starts from Manchester Central.
l Entry is £20; £15 for past walkers and £10 if aged 11 to 17. To register go to www.mmwalk.org. uk or call the St Ann’s fundraising team on 0161 498 3631.
