Motorists harassed

Salford Advertiser - - VIEWPOINTS -

I’VE had problems with parking in Monton in the past and for that reason I would normally avoid the place.

But yesterday evening I suppose it was a case of absence make the heart grow fonder and deciding to give it another go I took my wife there intending to have a meal.

As we entered the shopping parade area I immediately saw a parking warden in heated debate with a small group who were either at a cash machine or had been in a convenience store... but whatever the case they were not long-term parkers.

It was 8pm and as traffic was flowing normally you’ve got to ask yourself is all this harassing of motorists in any way justified?

Anyway, this little scene was enough for me, I went somewhere else and it will be a long time before I go to Monton again.

Well done Salford.
