Take lead on transport

Salford Advertiser - - VIEWPOINTS -

WHILE London is preparing to run the underground 24-hours-aday at weekends, Manchester is sadly taking a step in the opposite direction.

From April 17, yet another weekend nightbus will be withdrawn, with the 256 ceasing to operate after 11pm.

When will Transport for Greater Manchester take action to halt the continuing deterioration in Manchester’s bus network, which seems to be stuck in a cycle of permanent decline?

They may claim to have no responsibility over what private bus operators do, but who else is there to take leadership to address this issue? Name and address supplied
