Homes are leading The Way for buyers
HOUSE prices in the M11 area of Manchester have continued to boom, increasing by 21 per cent over the last year, with properties also spending less time on the market.
According to home.co. uk, average selling prices for the postcode district, which includes Beswick, have increased by over a fifth in the last 12 months – from £84,444 to £102,312 – beating the average house price jump for Greater Manchester of just five per cent over the same period.
In April 2015 the average home in M11 was spending just 223 days on the market, down by 23 per cent on the previous year and another strong indicator of a buoyant property market.
Lovell Homes recently launched the latest phase of homes at Axis @ The Way in Beswick, and is also celebrating a decade since the first residents moved into homes on the wider development.
In those 10 years, house prices in the area have almost doubled.
It is a long-term commitment to this part of East Manchester that is now reaping benefits for the award-winning housebuilder as the transformation of the area has led to increased demand for the homes.
Clare Noakes, regional sales manager for Lovell, said: “Our long-term vision for this development is now coming to fruition and it has become a very desirable place to live.
“The Way is part of a larger project to regenerate this part of Manchester and we are now at a point where Beswick has been completely transformed.
“Our latest phase of homes at Axis are proving hugely popular. With the community facilities, including a modern primary school, plus the fact that it’s just a 15 minute walk to the city centre, Beswick is really booming.”
Hundreds of families and first-time buyers have already made their home at The Way.
Around 400 homes have been built and once complete, the whole development will feature more than 500 new homes which have replaced rows of run down terraced housing.
The rejuvenation project in the area has also seen the creation of the £3.5m Ashbury Meadow Primary School and £31.5m East Manchester Academy.
Axis @ The Way includes a mix of two, three and four-bedroom designs, all built to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
This means they will feature energy efficient appliances and heating systems, low energy lighting, Smart Meters, and fixtures and fittings that reduce water consumption. ●●Prices for Axis @ The Way are from £158,995 for a threebedroom mews property, up to £208,995 for a four-bedroom home.
