Top Gear in crisis on a ratings low

-

ITS audience has been rapidly dwindling as disappointed fans switch off, and Top Gear is now in crisis after slumping to its worstever ratings.

Sunday night’s episode of the revamped series drew an audience of only 2.3million, marking the lowest overnight figures in the show’s history.

The new Top Gear has struggled to attract the audiences of the Jeremy Clarkson original and has now dropped below Clarkson’s lowest figures of 2.36million in 2003.

The show’s former script editor Richard Porter claimed yesterday that the show was struggling because it has been ‘scrutinised’ right from day one.
