Saddle up for equestrian fun

-

DID you enjoy the show-jumping and dressage during the Olympics? Then head to Scotland’s leading equestrian event this weekend to see some of the best international and national riders compete in the iconic setting of Blair Castle in Highland Perthshire. At Equitek International Horse Trials & Country Fair, enjoy thrilling show-jumping, perfect dressage, browse over 200 stands in the Bruadar Country Fair or try an unforgettable zipwire challenge! As the official charity of the event in 2016, Barnardo’s has prepared an adrenaline-filled fundraiser for all riders, visitors and the local community. On Sunday, you can test your limits by leaping off the castle’s 90ft tall Cummings Tower. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the wonderful estate and the surrounding scenery of rural Perthshire as you zipline for 300 yards over the event’s cross country course to your landing platform. Reaching speeds of up to 30 miles per hour, this challenge is not for the fainthearted! www.blairhorsetrials.co.uk
