Charles’ cushions are fit for a queen

-

IS PRINCe Charles softening up the public to prepare them for Queen Camilla?

He is flogging velvet cushions emblazoned with the words ‘King’ and ‘Queen’ in gold (above) at his Highgrove shop.

Clarence House publicly announced at the time of his wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles that the Duchess of Cornwall intends to become Princess Consort, not Queen Consort, when Charles becomes King.

Aides feared the public would never accept Charles’s one-time mistress as Queen due to the popularity of his first wife, Princess Diana.

The cushions cost £69.95 each and are edged with gold cord.
