IT is a mistake to worry about security at Britain’s small airfields (Mail). The smaller the airfield, the more suspicious activity stands out.
The recent arrest of a Lithuanian pilot arose not from a tip-off by a member of the public, but from the local general aviation industry, which has a close and successful relationship nationally with special Branch and the Border Force in ensuring that such incidents are rare.
