El­ton ‘to sing for cou­ple’

SIR El­ton John is said to be per­form­ing at Prince Harry’s wed­ding – more than two decades af­ter the star sang at his mother’s fu­neral.

The 71-year-old will en­ter­tain guests at Wind­sor Cas­tle to­mor­row, ac­cord­ing to the US web­site TMZ – although it is un­clear whether he will play in church or at the re­cep­tion later.

It comes 21 years af­ter Sir El­ton sang Can­dle In The Wind at Princess Diana’s fu­neral in 1997. Sir El­ton, a friend of Diana, at­tended Prince Wil­liam’s wed­ding in 2011.

Last sum­mer, he spent time with Harry in Si­cily and re­vealed later that the prince was smit­ten with Miss Markle. ‘I could tell that he was to­tally in love,’ he later told TV pre­sen­ter Lor­raine Kelly. ‘He said, “I’m in love” and I thought, “Good for you”.’
