Gender conundrum

-

as a transgender person, I have very mixed feelings about the case of paris Green (formerly peter laing), the sadistic murderer set to have gender reassignment surgery on the nHs.

Trans men and women are people just like everybody else, only differing from the rest of the community in suffering from gender dysphoria.

Green and the even more disgusting lian (formerly Ian) Huntley bring the trans community into disrepute and harm our interests.

at the same time, if violent malebodied prisoners volunteer to be castrated and medicated for life with the female hormone oestrogen, then they are likely in future to be much less aggressive and so less of a danger whether in prison or on the outside.

everyone is aware of the limited resources of the nHs, but denying prisoners medical treatment is inhumane.

I suggest the answer is to allow Green and similar prisoners gender nullification surgery, where unwanted male parts are removed, but deny them a full genital inversion.

of course, if we had kept the death penalty for such vile murderers, then the problem would not arise. PeNNy PONDeRS,
