FERRY SAILS TO GLORY AT LOCH LOMOND

DUTCHMAN Ferry Weertman took gold at the men’s open-water swimming 10km race at Loch Lomond yesterday. In a thrilling photo-finish with Kristof Rasovszky of Hungary, both men were given the same time of 1hr, 49 mins, 28.2 secs. As such, the judges took several minutes to confirm that Weertman (right) had triumphed. He said: ‘It feels amazing to win such a close race.’
