Quick f lash of tartan at Secret show

IT is one of the most anticipated events on the international supermodel calendar.

And there was more than a touch of tartan to the lingerie at this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show in New York.

Supermodals Kendall Jenner, 23, Gigi Hadid, 23, and Behati Prinsloo, 30, sashayed down the catwalk in tartan and sported sporrans in an unusual nod to Caledonian culture.

Miss Jenner wore a very miniature kilt with a risqué side slit revealing her high-cut tartan lingerie, while Miss Hadid and Miss Prinsloo both wore sporrans over their skimpy outfits. All three wore a large cascading tartan train with black lace-up stilettos.

The elegant plaid pieces in Victoria’s Secret’s latest collection may signal a resurgence for tartan in popular fashion.

The show, which cost around $12million (£9.2million) to stage, is the most-watched fashion event of the year, attracting more than 800million viewers worldwide.

Thigh’s the limit: Kendal Jenner’s rather revealing kilt

Well plaid: Gigi Hadid
