++THERESA MAY attended the Thiepval Memorial yesterday, which commemorates more than 72,000 British and South African troops who died on the Somme and have no known grave. Since 1928, each night a bugler has sounded the Last Post at another memorial, the Menin Gate, for one of the Allies’ lost soldiers. This tragic roll-call will only end in 2400. Such sacrifice rather puts squabbling over Brexit into perspective. ++DEFENCE Secretary Gavin Williamson is refusing to use the RAF to repatriate British jihadists imprisoned in Syria and Iraq. Good thing too. Let them rot there, dreaming of the 72 virgins awaiting them in paradise.
