Black Friday’s virtually as bad as visiting the shops

I WRITE this column while waiting in a queue. For an hour and a half now, I’ve been patiently hanging around, trying to get i nto a beauty store.

That it’s all online has done little to curb my frustration, particularly as I have j ust been informed, via a jolly popup message, that there are 34,349 customers ahead of me. I expect to gain access sometime around mid- January.

More fool me for thinking Black Friday would be slightly more tolerable without the stress of in-person shopping...
