One of Scot­land’s new­est dis­til­leries has cel­e­brated its first batch of spirit of­fi­cially be­com­ing whisky. The spirit was laid down three years ago in the Ard­na­mur­chan Dis­tillery and the strict reg­u­la­tions on whisky mean that spirit must un­dergo a three year mat­u­ra­tion pe­riod be­fore it can of­fi­cially be called whisky. The dis­tillery plan on re­leas­ing their first bot­tles when the spirit has ma­tured for a min­i­mum of seven years, mean­ing an an­tic­i­pated re­lease date of 2021. Last year the dis­tillery re­leased its one year old Ard­na­mur­chan Spirit 2016 AD to great suc­cess. www.adel­phidis­tillery.com
