I en­joyed Alexan­der McCall Smith’s ar­ti­cle on new words, [Learn­ing the Lingo] in the Septem­ber is­sue of Scot­tish Field. Here’s one I in­vented: 'Scrum­bling'. I walk our cats each morn­ing up the path to the woods, where they like SCRAM­BLING up the trees (which are five or six me­tres high), then they TUM­BLE down. Ken Napier, France
