Filmmaker studies Castle Douglas ospreys

The life of the ospreys that nest at the National Trust for Scotland’s Threave Estate near Castle Douglas will be captured on video by Annandale filmmaker John Wallace, who was awarded the Artful Migration residency by the Upland arts development agency and Ginnie Wollaston and Nicholas Parton Philip of Moving Souls Dance. He will be talking to osprey experts, estate staff, volunteers and birdwatchers about what the ospreys mean to them, while also looking at the period of their absence and presence. www.weareupland.com
