Q: Which species can I fish for and target in Denmark, particularly near Copenhagen?

Sea Angler (UK) - - SEA SCHOOL -

DL says: Copenhagen is inside the Baltic Sea, which contains brackish water. The salt content diminishes the further north you travel, which restricts the saltwater species you can catch.

In the southern Baltic, where you will be based, expect plenty of codling along with a few larger fish into double figures, flounders and garfish, and sea-trout. This is the only area where Atlantic salmon can be regularly caught in the sea, usually by trolling lures.
