Q: I am anxious that the contacts on my fishfinder might corrode in salty conditions. Is there any type of treatment to protect my investment?

GR says: Spray them with a silicone lubricant spray. There are many on the market. Spray the contacts with a light coating both before and after your day on the water. As with most metallic items, contact with saltwater is fine as long as care is taken to remove the salt residue once off the water.
