Great catches from our ju­nior read­ers.

Bran­don-Lee Tucker (8) took this 7lb 10oz pol­lack when fish­ing aboard Albi, skip­pered by Gary Mills, out of Ply­mouth, Devon. The lo­cal lad used a rhubarb and cus­tard Sidewinder lure at­tached to a fly­ing-col­lar rig. Ryan Har­ri­son,

aged 10, who lives in Had­ston, Northum­ber­land, fished the open­ing event of the Am­ble Sum­mer League at nearby Al­n­mouth, where he caught this floun­der mea­sur­ing 39cm. Young match an­gler

Har­ley Thomp­son is cer­tainly prov­ing to be a great com­peti­tor on the North-East cir­cuit. The six-year-old from Jar­row, Tyne and Wear, fin­ished sec­ond in a ju­nior event, while se­cur­ing fifth place against 23 se­niors in a Jar­row Al­berta SAC event, with four floun­ders caught on live peeler crab baits.

Tyler West, from Min­ster, Kent, re­cently fished at Min­nis Bay and was re­warded with this thorn­back ray that tipped the scales to 9lb 8oz. The 13-yearold opted to present a Pen­nellpul­ley rig baited with Bluey.

Jaimie Hol­land used half a squid fished on a size 4/0 Pennell rig to catch this thorn­back ray weigh­ing 6lb. The eight-yearold, who hails from Claver­ham, in Som­er­set, was fish­ing aboard Chris Bux­ton’s Chan­nel Ex­plorer out of nearby Por­tishead.

Fynn Betts fished a shore ses­sion at Salt­house, in Nor­folk, where he landed this brace of floun­ders weigh­ing 1lb 1oz and 1lb 2oz. The 14-year-old, who lives at nearby Mel­ton Con­sta­ble, used Bluey and mack­erel baits on a two-hook clipped rig.
