Great catches from our junior readers.
Brandon-Lee Tucker (8) took this 7lb 10oz pollack when fishing aboard Albi, skippered by Gary Mills, out of Plymouth, Devon. The local lad used a rhubarb and custard Sidewinder lure attached to a flying-collar rig. Ryan Harrison,
aged 10, who lives in Hadston, Northumberland, fished the opening event of the Amble Summer League at nearby Alnmouth, where he caught this flounder measuring 39cm. Young match angler
Harley Thompson is certainly proving to be a great competitor on the North-East circuit. The six-year-old from Jarrow, Tyne and Wear, finished second in a junior event, while securing fifth place against 23 seniors in a Jarrow Alberta SAC event, with four flounders caught on live peeler crab baits.
Tyler West, from Minster, Kent, recently fished at Minnis Bay and was rewarded with this thornback ray that tipped the scales to 9lb 8oz. The 13-yearold opted to present a Pennellpulley rig baited with Bluey.
Jaimie Holland used half a squid fished on a size 4/0 Pennell rig to catch this thornback ray weighing 6lb. The eight-yearold, who hails from Claverham, in Somerset, was fishing aboard Chris Buxton’s Channel Explorer out of nearby Portishead.

Fynn Betts fished a shore session at Salthouse, in Norfolk, where he landed this brace of flounders weighing 1lb 1oz and 1lb 2oz. The 14-year-old, who lives at nearby Melton Constable, used Bluey and mackerel baits on a two-hook clipped rig.
