Tick­ets are now on sale for Bri­tain’s largest shore fish­ing match and its warm-up event, which take place on the East York­shire coast on Fe­bru­ary 15-17.

The 26th Paul Rogge­man Euro­pean Open Beach Cham­pi­onships is based at Sand le Mere Hol­i­day Vil­lage, Tun­stall, near With­ernsea. This main cham­pi­onship event is on Fe­bru­ary 16 and 17 with fish­ing from 9am to 3pm each day be­tween Bridling­ton North Beach and Spurn Point Pi­lot Jetty. The weigh-in times at Sand le Mere will be 3pm-4pm.

The com­pe­ti­tion has de­vel­oped over many years into one of the largest events of its kind. There is a su­perb prize fund for the over­all two-day win­ners, in­clud­ing the first prize of £4,000. This means the win­ner of the event could walk away with a stag­ger­ing £8,000 thanks to the two sep­a­rate daily prize funds.

As a warm-up to the big event, the pop­u­lar EOBC Flat­tie Bash will be held at Hornsea and Map­ple­ton. This year the Flat­tie Bash, which is fished catch and re­lease, will be zoned.
