Great advice for fishing in Norway.

As I sat in Gatwick airport waiting for my flight to Oslo, I noticed over the top of my cup of coffee a group of five lads heading my way. Realising they were anglers and donned in colourful hoodies and baseball caps, I stared as they struggled to keep their heavily packed luggage trollies on a straight course. Huge cooler boxes had been wrapped in layers upon layers of duct tape, large sports bags and suitcases were precariously balanced too, while at least one long rod tube poked out like a tank’s gun barrel. They were carrying a serious amount of fishing kit and I certainly didn’t envy them.

Bearing in mind it only took me a few minutes to check-in my single suitcase; boarding cards were tucked inside my passport and the only hand luggage I had was my camera equipment. I was relaxed and looking forward to my flight in comfort.

However, these lads already looked incredibly stressed just a few moments into their trip, and they would soon be sweating when it all went on the scales at check-in, adding more stress.

I certainly don’t need that malarkey in a crowded airport.
