DOL­LAR BOOST FOR US EX­PORTS?

COULD US EX­PORTERS be in for a bumper time, sim­i­lar to the one cur­rently be­ing en­joyed by their UK coun­ter­parts. That’s a pos­si­bil­ity as the dol­lar slides ver­sus the euro.

Ex­perts reckon in­ter­nal worries, such as weaker-thanex­pected US jobs data, wan­ing hopes of tax re­form and high costs of planned in­fra­struc­ture projects are partly to blame.

Ris­ing mil­i­tary ten­sions on the Korean Penin­sula have topped things off re­cently, thanks to Py­ongyang’s con­tro­ver­sial mis­sile test­ing.
