Birdshot charity shoot raises £60,000 at rbss
William Downie wrote to us to say: “This cheerful group of clay shooters, the Maleon Marauders, were one of 26 teams attending the recent 5th Annual Birdshot charity clay shoot at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School (RBSS). The day was in aid of the Birdshot Uveitis Society and despite the drizzle everyone had an enjoyable and challenging clay shoot followed by lunch and rounded off with an auction of promises with Lord Jeffery Archer as the presiding auctioneer. The generosity of the competing teams and individual donations at the auction of promises raised the impressive sum of £60,000 which will make a huge difference to the society and its future research programme.”
The good news for William is that a bottle of bubbly is on its way! For more information on the Birdshot Uveitis Society, visit birdshot.org.uk.
