All in all, I was re­ally pleased with Remy — it was a big learn­ing curve in his train­ing and he coped with it very well. I re­alise that I could have avoided putting him in the sit­u­a­tion where he went wrong, though there is one pos­i­tive: un­steadi­ness to flush­ing birds while on a re­trieve wasn’t some­thing that I could re­ally recre­ate dur­ing the sum­mer months, but it is some­thing I can work on over the next few weeks now I have birds on the train­ing ground.
