Simply Sewing - - ACCESSORIES -

Step one Trace the envelope template then draw around it on the iron-on interfacing and cut it out, adding a 3mm ($⁄"in) seam allowance. Step two Iron this interfacing on the wrong side (WS) of the fabric. Mark a turning gap.

Step three Place the white cotton lining fabric RS together with the print fabric.

Step four Sew along the drawn line, starting and finishing at the turning gap.

Step five Trim the fabric ¼in (5mm) outside the stitching, then turn right side (RS) out.

Step six Press flat, then topstitch all the way around the envelope about 3mm ($⁄"in) in from the edge. This will also close the turning gap.

Step one Using the template as a guide, fold and press in the four envelope flaps in the order marked on the template.

Step two To seal the bottom of the envelope (flap 1 to flap 3, and flap 2 to flap 3) use small cut pieces of bondaweb and press.

Step three Sew a press fastener on the underside of the flap and the section beneath. Step four Sew each end of the chain necklace onto the two envelope top corners.
