NGC 2403
DAVID SLACK, NORTHUMBERLAND, 31 MARCH 2017
David says: “This galaxy is rich in colour, having many HII star-forming regions, which appear pink in the image. Cloud meant I had to take fewer exposures than planned; the outer spiral arms are faint and stretching the image to get them to show meant there was quite a bit of background noise to deal with.”
Equipment: Starlight Xpress SXV-H9 mono CCD camera, SkyWatcher Explorer 130P Newtonian reflector, Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro SynScan mount.
