Maicon says: “As its name sug­gests, the pe­cu­liar shape of this emis­sion ne­bula re­sem­bles a cat’s paw. Lo­cated in Scor­pius 5,500 lightyears away, it is a re­gion of in­tense star for­ma­tion, con­tain­ing many young blue stars of high mass, formed in the last mil­lion years.”
