Mer­cury is an evening ob­ject and de­spite reach­ing great­est east­ern elon­ga­tion on 6 Novem­ber, is un­likely to be seen post sun­set as it hardly has any al­ti­tude. In­fe­rior con­junc­tion takes place on 27 Novem­ber af­ter which time the planet is a morn­ing ob­ject too close to the Sun to be seen prop­erly in the morn­ing sky.
