story so far

So… the big day is nearly here for double wedding couples Eva Price and Aidan Connor and Johnny Connor and Jenny Bradley. But there are a few issues to resolve before they take their vows…

Eva wants revenge on love rat groom Aidan, his other woman, Maria Connor, plus Johnny and Jenny, who knew all about Aidan’s affair and kept it quiet.

Maria, meanwhile, suspects that Eva, who’s pretending to be pregnant and has left to see her mum in France, is up to something. Also involved is bent lawyer Adam Barlow, who’s tried to kiss Eva and is out to ensure Aidan and Johnny lose the factory he thinks is rightfully his. What could possibly go wrong? Answer: Plenty!

this fortnight

A sorted-looking Eva’s back from France and loaded down with shopping bags, so she’s clearly given Aidan’s credit card a severe hammering. And, with her revenge heading towards a spectacular climax, we’re guessing the groom and his immediate family are next in line for that treatment!

‘It’s Adam who catches up with Eva first, though,’ says our source at Corrie. ‘He tells his partner-in-crime that his plans for Underworld are all on track.

‘But neither of the devious duo realises Maria’s clocked them together and she’s yet again suspicious of their closeness.’

An oblivious Eva presses on and prints off another fake baby scan picture, then turns her attentions to Maria and Jenny.

‘With some help from Leanne and Toyah Battersby, Eva decorates the Rovers for her hen party,’ reveals our insider. ‘She then reveals how she intends to have her revenge on Maria.

‘Later, she explains to a livid Jenny, who’d booked a posh restaurant for a much more sophisticated hen night, why those plans have been cancelled… and the two of them are sharing a new evening of combined hen-night delight!’

But a seething Jenny is far from impressed when she realises their joint party involves male strippers at the Rovers (see page 28)!

Then, thanks to Eva’s sly scheme, the night gets worse for Maria when every outrageous drinking game seems to end

with Aidan’s ‘other woman’ being the butt of every gag. Talk about awkward!

Our source continues: ‘Eva really enjoys watching her hated love rival squirm. But the plan backfires.

‘Maria’s absolutely livid at how she’s been humiliated, so she makes her excuses and leaves… lying to Eva she may not be able to attend the wedding the next day because son Liam is ill.’

Has Eva pushed it too far? Are her revenge plans about to come unstuck?

What next?

Weatherfield weddings are rarely quiet affairs, and this not-to-be missed double-bill has all the makings of becoming a magnificent masterpiece of matrimonial mayhem!

We can’t reveal exactly what happens at the ceremony, but we do know there are two massive bombshells about to land.

The first is that guilty Aidan decides to tell his bride-to-be that he’s been cheating on her. Wowzers!

So could last-minute honesty from Aidan make Eva reconsider her plan of taking him to the cleaners and helping Adam get his mitts on the factory?

The second is that mistress Maria decides to attend the wedding after all, and puts in a surprise appearance when she arrives at the venue…

What is she doing? Toyah spots her and she’s immediately concerned.

Has Maria decided she wants Aidan for herself after all and is she making a final plea to win his heart? Or she about to reveal some other shock secret?

Our advice: Grab a pew and a clear view. This will be the wedding of the year!

Eva’s ready for her big day and her big moment, but has Maria rumbled her and Adam’s plot? Bride-to-be Eva ridicules Maria on the hen night... Will Maria’s sudden big-day appearance spell disaster?
