Story So far

It looked like Billy Mitchell had buried his ‘silly Billy’ image when he became a partner in Les Coker’s funeral business. But it seems that bodies aren’t all that Billy’s been burying…

this fortnight

Billy hits the panic button when the tax man tells him that the business will be audited. It turns out Billy’s been burying his head in the sand instead of dealing with the accounts and now he’s dug himself a very big hole!

‘Billy knows that he’s made a mistake with some invoices and confesses to the auditor,’ our Eastenders insider says.

But they don’t say, ‘Okay, thanks for letting us know’.

‘Billy’s told he has to pay them back a small fortune, which will leave the business in debt,’ adds our source.

what next?

Well, it’s too late to get Billy a calculator.

What Billy needs is lots of money, fast. He could beg or borrow, but he’s so desperate we fear Billy’s going to do something silly. If he can’t revive the businesses finances, Billy might think he’s better off cremating it for the insurance money!

Billy points out the error of his accounting – and the tax man is not happy!
