Mary berry’s country House secrets
Starts Wednesday 22 November BBC1 The country’s best-loved TV cook, Mary Berry, has got more time on her hands now that Bake Off’s gone to Channel 4. In this new show, she heads off around Britain to take a peek into the private kitchens of some of the nation’s most stunning stately homes.
Invited behind the public rooms of grand houses, such as Goodwood and Highclere Castle (where Downton was filmed), Mary meets the families that own the properties. Inspired by their culinary histories, Mary will also create her own delicious recipes.
‘I can’t think of anyone more perfect to tell the stories of these great households than Mary,’ reveals Country House Secrets producer Tanya Shaw.
