STORY SO FAR

Often daft Steve Mcdonald accidentally proposed to girlfriend and ex-wife Tracy Barlow and, despite his feeble attempts at slowing down the impending marital car crash, the wedding plans are moving ahead at an alarming speed!

Poor Steve’s heart is still not in it, but he doesn’t want to break daughter Amy Barlow’s heart by calling it off either.

It’s the sort of dilemma that only Steve could land himself in!

THIS WEEK

After upsetting Abi Franklin by telling Eileen Phelan about her meeting with the cops, Steve wants to make it up to the muddled mum. He decides to help her clean the house before Eileen returns.

‘But things descend into mayhem – just as Eileen walks in!’ reveals our insider. ‘But Eileen’s disapproval at the state of her house is nothing compared to how she reacts when she finds out Steve’s yet again engaged to Tracy!

‘And when Steve begs her not to throw Seb Franklin and Abi out, she agrees – on the condition he breaks off his engagement!’

Worried about their mate, Eileen and Dev Alahan drag Steve to the Bistro where they tell him he’ll be making the biggest mistake of his life if he marries Tracy again.

Steve knows they’re right. Will he – or dare he – agree?

As Eileen and Dev stick the knife into Tracy, she walks in and hears everything. Uh-oh. An angry Tracy is dangerous!

How will Ms Barlow react?

WHAT next?

Tracy doesn’t let anyone who’s wronged her get away with it. She may (almost) be a reformed character, but she’s done some nasty things in the past. Would fresh heartbreak and a cancelled wedding bring terrible Tracy back?

Should Dev and Eileen be on their guard in case the bolshy Barlow decides on revenge?

Tracy’s fuming after she overhears Eileen talking to Steve behind her back!
