£ 200k Range Rover fizzes with luxury
THE world’s most luxurious Range Rover, worth well over £ 200,000, has been handed to the boss of a Warwickshire polo club.
Dr Dallas Burston, owner of Southam’s Dallas Burston Polo Club, has taken possession of a bespoke vehicle that even comes with its own champagne flutes.
He worked with Solihull dealership Listers Land Rover and Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations Division on the specifics himself. It is, he says, one of a kind, unmatched anywhere in the world.
The highly personalised 5- litre V8 supercharged Range Rover Autobiography LWB features:
Hand- engraved door handles and matching letter box dashboard.
Polo illuminated black treadplates.
Bespoke duotone paintwork. The roof is red, the lower body bronze.
Champagne flutes featuring Dallas Burston’s Polo club official logo.
Major Carney, director of operations for the Dallas Burston Group, said: “Dr Burston owns a wide collection of cars from classic to modern day.
“When the chance to work with the Special Vehicles division came up, it was a unique opportunity. We have designed a vehicle for the Dallas Burston Polo Club which itself has not only been rebranded, but is also undergoing a multi- million- pound development project to build hotels and leisure facilities at its Warwickshire site.
“This project provided the perfect blank canvas to create something unique and unrivalled to take out and promote the club. The whole project was incredibly exciting, taking an idea from a design sheet to the finished article. It has far exceeded our expectations.
“We wanted a vehicle that was a real head- turner and that’s exactly what we’ve got in this car.
“There are so many talking points on this vehicle – it’s a real wow!”
Listers Land Rover brand director Anthony Hope added: “Listers is very proud to have developed the kind of client relationship where our customers have enough faith to work with us on such a significant and important project. We are very pleased to build a new relationship with The Dallas Burston Group.”
