TV terrible with ads every ten minutes!

Solihull News - - LETTERS & EMAILS -

I QUITE agree with Mike Butler on his comments about television being the ruination of our country.

I will never disagree with anyone who thinks that television is terrible, especially soap operas, as we used to watch them many, many years ago, but not any more. They are not worth watching, like many programmes, as all we appear to see are adverts every 10 minutes.

Even watching live football matches on TV all you see are adverts rolling around the outskirts of the pitch.

Adverts are not what I buy a TV licence for, but I do not watch programmes any more, just the red button news service.

After dinner my wife and I do not watch TV in the evening. We play Ludo and Snakes and Ladders which I do enjoy. David Jeffries, Redditch.
