War­wick­shire Lo­cal His­tory So­ci­ety


ON Tues­day, Novem­ber 21, the So­ci­ety is hold­ing its first mem­bers evening, when the au­di­ence will be treated to three short pre­sen­ta­tions from mem­bers:

Alec Ross – Visu­al­is­ing Lo­cal His­tory: the 1910- 15 Valu­a­tion Sur­vey in Stret­ton- on- Dun­smore.

Stewart Fer­gus­son – The Fac­tious Ci­tie of Coven­try: Cri­sis and Change in the 17th Cen­tury.

Pro­fes­sor Ron­nie Mul­ryne – The Strat­ford Guild­hall and Shake­speare’s School­room.

The meet­ing will be held at the Quaker Meet­ing House, High Street, War­wick, CV34 4AX where cof­fee will be served from 7.30pm with the lec­ture begin­ning at 8pm. Ev­ery­one is wel­come, al­though there is a charge of £ 3 for guests – re­fund­able on the night if guests then join the So­ci­ety.
